What is "Caritas?" 

Caritas is an expression and a means of charity the Christian community. He chaired and directed by the bishop. 

Caritas is a major socio-pastoral channel each diocese (church). This means that the charity is engaged in the whole Church, following the example of Christ, "who came not to him ministered unto but to minister." 

Caritas was founded not only to implement projects or to attract external funds. His main goal - to be the point of focus "of consciousness, solidarity, division and ministry." 

Long-term goal of Caritas is to nurture the spirit and acts of justice and mercy in every Diocesan Church and all Christian communities (families, groups, societies, parishes, etc.). It is through the local Caritas Christian community can realize and implement the specific charity which is the key to higher equity and realistic distribution of wealth. 

Thus Caritas seeks to increase the sensitivity of the Christian community that it has adopted a given in baptism is required "Us and at the same time convince all Christians that they were faithful and effective leaders of mercy and justice. 

Caritas interested in everyone. But first of all. It should assist and testify on behalf of the powerless, the hungry, homeless, exiled, deprived of power and the right to vote, exploited - all that is at the margin of society. 

In this work is directed towards projects "Home care" and "Creating a system of migration management in Transcarpathia / Ukraine", performed at Mukachevo Greek Catholic diocese. 

How true is the claim that mercy is an expression of inner belief in solidarity between people and required "communication to share with the needy, just as true is the idea that charity was today in fact science.
