Round table Problems of perception of refugees in Ukraine PDF Print E-mail

The meeting was held on the occasion of World Day of Refugees, which the world community celebrates each year on 20 June by decision of UN General Assembly. The purpose of the meeting is to draw attention to the coverage of migration and refugees in the media, and discuss ways to overcome the stereotypes, the ethical foundations of work media, standards of objective coverage of topics of migration and refugees. Also during the meeting were submitted to the experience of Western European countries (including Italy, UK) and the recommendations of international organizations. During the meeting were presenting different views on the perception of the problem of refugees in Ukraine by various government bodies, in particular, Chop and Mukachevo border troops, the Security Service in Zakarpattya region, police and migration service and non-governmental organizations: IOM, Caritas, Committee of medical care in Zakarpattya region. 
During the round table there were few presentations of the International Organization for Migration, Eastern European Institute of Development and Maxim Boutkevitch which disclose various aspects of life and the problems of refugees and asylum seekers in Ukraine.
